Dramatherapy/Counselling

My Mission and Approach

My mission is to guide you in resolving personal issues, enhancing relationships, and developing life skills that foster ongoing personal growth. I am committed to supporting you through thought-provoking, playful, and creative processes that inspire your potential to live a more joyful, fulfilled life.

The Power of Dramatherapy

Dramatherapy offers a unique vantage point, providing new perspectives on real-life roles and actions. Through this therapeutic process, you will be empowered to actively experiment with new alternatives and explore different ways of thinking, feeling, and behaving.

Counselling Services

My counselling services extend to various areas, including personal development, stress management, trauma and PTSD, depression, specialized support for non-traditional relationships, existential questions, coping with natural disasters, bereavement, conflict resolution, creative blocks, creative thinking, decision-making, communication, and public speaking.

You’re invited to explore and rehearse desired behaviors, enrich relationships, expand your life roles, and bring to life the changes you envision for yourself. In the safe space of play, we can break free from familiar patterns and constraints.

Creative Growth and Exploration

I believe in creating experiences that help people expand their potential. Together, we will identify the aspects of your life that you wish to change. We will then set realistic steps in motion to enhance clarity, creativity, and resilience in all areas of your life.

What to Expect

Through a combination of interactive and experiential methods, I encourage playful exploration and growth. Whether you’re addressing personal challenges or working toward broader life goals, our work together will inspire meaningful change and personal development.

Supervision

Comprehensive Supervision Services

As a qualified and registered  supervisor, I offer comprehensive supervision services both in person and online, with a specific focus on creative arts therapy, AOD (Alcohol and Other Drugs), and therapeutic communities. In supervision, I primarily adopt an existential approach while also embracing the richness that emerges from integrating different therapeutic methods.

With a substantial background in private practice, community health, corrective services, and substance use treatment, I bring a wealth of experience and expertise to our supervision sessions. My aim is to create a space that fosters growth, reflection, and skill development while enhancing your therapeutic practice.

A Unique Perspective on Supervision

I am particularly interested in how your uniqueness as a therapist interacts with your clients’ inner worlds, shaping your professional work in the service of their growth and healing. In our sessions, we will explore how your personal style and approach influence the therapeutic relationship, and how we can deepen your understanding of the therapeutic process.

Areas of Focus in Supervision

The primary objective of our supervision sessions is to assist you in maintaining a critical reflective practice while honing your clinical skills and upholding ethical guidelines and professional standards. Together, we will explore strategies for maintaining and expanding your therapeutic practice, ensuring you provide the highest level of care to meet the diverse needs of your clients.

Key areas of focus include:

  • Session Planning: Exploring techniques and methods to structure effective and responsive sessions.
  • Time Management: Developing strategies to optimize your workload and balance client needs.
  • Resource Collection: Gathering relevant resources to better support clients’ individual needs.
  • Client Interactions: Addressing challenging client responses and finding effective therapeutic interventions.
  • Self-Care Strategies: Ensuring that your personal well-being is attended to, allowing you to thrive in both your professional and personal life.

The Supervisory Relationship

I believe that supervision is a mutual working alliance, providing you with a safe space to reflect, learn, and be empowered. Your well-being, both at a personal and professional level, is paramount. With your consent, we will ensure that your health, energy, and resilience are nurtured alongside your clinical practice.
