Dramatherapy/Counselling

My mission is to guide you in resolving personal issues, enhancing relationships, and developing life skills to foster ongoing personal growth. I am committed to supporting you through thought-provoking, playful, and creative processes that inspire your potential to live a more joyful, fulfilled life.

Dramatherapy offers a unique vantage point to gain perspective on real-life roles and actions, empowering you to actively experiment with new alternatives.

I believe in creating experiences that make people Think, Feel and Behave in a way that expands their potential.

Together, we will clarify aspects of life you wish to change and set realistic steps in motion to enhance clarity, creativity, and resilience across all areas of your life.

I want to inspire you to maximize your personal and professional potential and live joyfully. My holistic approach embraces creativity and play as a key to unlocking transformation. As we embark on this journey, your perspective, as well as the therapist’s, guides the ongoing direction of the therapeutic work.

My counselling services extend to various areas,

including personal development, stress management, trauma and PTSD, depression, specialized support for non-traditional relationships, existential questions, coping with natural disasters, bereavement, conflict resolution, creative blocks, creative thinking, decision-making, communication and public speaking.

You’re invited to explore and rehearse desired behaviors, enrich relationships, expand your life roles, and bring to life the changes you envision for yourself. In the safe space of play, we can break free from familiar patterns and constraints.

Supervision

As a qualified and registered counselling supervisor, I offer comprehensive supervision services both in person and online, with a specific focus on creative arts therapy, AOD and therapeutic communities. In supervision, I tend to adopt an existential approach, while also being open to the richness that emerges from integrating different therapeutic methods. With a substantial background in private practice, community health, corrective services, drugs and alcohol, I bring a wealth of experience and expertise to our supervision sessions.

I am particularly interested in how your uniqueness as a therapist interacts with your clients’ inner worlds, shaping your professional work in the service of their growth and healing.

Aereas of Focus in Supervision

My primary objective of our supervision sessions is to assist you in maintaining a critical reflective practice and honing your clinical skills, while upholding ethical guidelines and professional standards. We will explore strategies for maintaining and expanding your therapeutic practice, ensuring you provide the highest level of care to meet the diverse needs of your clients.

This may include support around session planning, time management, resource collection for client needs, strategies for self-care, and navigating difficult client responses. I believe that supervision is a mutual working alliance, providing you with a safe space to reflect, learn, and be empowered. Your well-being at a personal and professional level is paramount, and with your consent, we will attend to it with utmost care.
